Melvin sets initial rotation for spring games

Today BoMel set the rotation up for the first 4 games of spring training. The order will be Micah Owings out of the gate on Thursday against the Rockies; Brandon Webb on Friday against the White Sox; Dan Haren goes Saturday also against the White Sox; and Doug Davis will throw in a split-squad game on Sunday against those same White Sox.

So, no Big Unit quite yet. Melvin said that Johnson will throw against live hitting for the first time this spring on Thursday. Then he'll most likely have a minor league start before getting his first chance in a regular spring training game. Things still seem to be looking good for Johnson..so, let's hope he stays on track.
