Any chance O-dog comes back?

Listening to the interview with Orlando Hudson this morning on the Doug & Wolf show on 620 KTAR, O-dog certainly expressed what's in his heart about wanting to return to the D-backs in '09, and that he's made management aware of that fact. But, there's no way it's happening....no way.

Hudson certainly wants to test the free agent mark, and who could argue with him. The one obvious thing that Arizona has in its favor is that he is now coming back from his second injury in as many years. That along with the depressed economy may deflate his open market value, and hence make it easier to fit within Arizona's budget. But even given those circumstances, I just don't believe his multi-million dollar demands will fit in the budget. I wish it were easier and they could just do the deal, because Hudson brings so much enthusiasm and leadership to this team.

But, it's not going to happen.
